Quixtar Sales Exceed One Billion

Quixtar sales clear $1 billion

ADA -- For the fourth year, Quixtar Inc. sales topped $1 billion after a nationwide advertising campaign and a flurry of new products nurtured the bottom line.

For the first time, the U.S. subsidiary of Alticor is shifting its fiscal year to a Dec. 31 closing date. Previously, the accounting closed on Aug. 31.

Sales during 2006 in the U.S. and Canada set an annual record at $1.12 billion, up 2.2 percent from $1.06 billion in 2005.
