CarbonCopyPRO Donates 18K Scholarship

$18K Wheaton Scholarship Donated by CarbonCopyPRO Associates within 24 Hours of a Mother's Plea for Help

Jay Kubassek, founder of CarbonCopyPRO has focused on building an organization dedicated to positively impacting the lives of others, both those associated with CarbonCopyPRO and those beyond the organization. On Christmas Eve, Jay Kubassek proved his commitment with an $18,000 Christmas gift.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 4, 2010 -- Jessica Phillibert has reason to celebrate this New Year as she received word that Jay Kubassek and others associated with CarbonCopyPRO donated more than $18 thousand dollars needed for her to complete the school year at Wheaton College.

The fundraising efforts began after Kubassek, founder of CarbonCopyPRO, responded to the plea of Jessica's mother by donating funds himself and then asking CarbonCopyPRO associates to help the young college student.

Within 24 hours, the entire amount had been raised and wired to Wheaton College, ensuring that Jessica will be able to complete her second year at the well-respected institution. Jessica went to an independent college prep high school, on full scholarship. From there, she went on to Wheaton College with financing from a Christian donor; however, the economic downturn made their continued financial support impossible.

Wheaton stepped in and provided a scholarship, which allowed Jessica to complete the first semester of her second year. As the end of the year approached, Jessica's mother Melanie Phillibert, became desperate to help her daughter continue her college education, but as a citizen of Jamaica, financial aid from the U.S. was not an option. Melanie, with limited funds and two other children to support, decided to reach out to Jay Kubassek, founder of CarbonCopyPRO.

As one of millions of CarbonCopyPRO associates, Melanie Phillibert knew that a response from Jay Kubassek was unlikely. She was determined to try anyway. Initially, Kubassek admits that he "blew off the emails". Kubassek knew firsthand the tenacity it takes to envision something more than current circumstances might indicate possible.

On the morning of December 23rd, as Kubassek sat reading yet another email from Melanie, he recalled a quote from CarbonCopyPRO VP of Leadership Development John Jackson: "Do something for someone today, with the knowing that there is no possible way for them to repay you." Kubassek decided to do just that by donating thousands of his own money to the cause.

Kubassek then invited the entire CarbonCopyPRO community to help Jessica Phillibert with her tuition needs. Twenty-four hours later, the full tuition had been donated and wired to Wheaton College, ensuring that Jessica will be able to complete her second year of higher education.
