Isagenix and Stop Hunger Now Provide Meals to Typhoon Victims

November 17, 2013 -- Isagenix International, LLC., a global health-and-wellness company dedicated to providing Solutions to Transform Lives™, has partnered with Stop Hunger Now to once again provide nutritious meals to victims hit hard by a natural disaster.

In the wake of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, Isagenix is immediately supplying 15,000 boxes of its IsaLean® Shake, a whey protein meal replacement shake, to Stop Hunger Now. This donation will provide 210,000 high-protein, nutrient-dense meals to those impacted by this devastating tropical cyclone.

"Isagenix is one global family with a mission to impact world health," shares Isagenix Co-Founder and President Jim Coover. "We are saddened by the tragic loss of life in the Philippines and are honored to partner with Stop Hunger Now for a second time to ensure that the survivors of this disaster get the highest quality of nutrition possible, right away."

Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief organization, is shipping one million highly-nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, flavoring, and 21 essential vitamins to the Philippines as part of ongoing disaster relief operations in response to Typhoon Haiyan. The first container with 285,120 meals departed Nov. 13, 2013, and additional containers will be shipped over the next week. Stop Hunger Now also is organizing the shipment of other critical supplies such as water filters, medicine, medical supplies and hygiene kits. The Stop Hunger Now Malaysia affiliate also is providing immediate assistance to the storm-ravaged area.

"Stop Hunger Now and Isagenix have a history of working together to provide food to people who need it most around the world," said said Rod Brooks, Stop Hunger Now President and CEO. "By combining our resources during this crisis, we are able to double our impact and provide life-saving food to the families affected by Typhoon Haiyan."

Isagenix previously partnered with Stop Hunger Now in February of 2010 to provide meals to victims of the devastating earthquake that hit just west of Port Au Prince, Haiti.
