Adults buy into home-party goods to spice up their lives

Some of it is a long way from Tupperware and baskets, but in-home sales of designer underwear and adult-entertainment products are thriving, with two of the industry's top companies generating sales of more than $100 million last year.
In the U.S., 13.6 million people, and most of them women, shopped via direct home sales last year, including through more traditional companies such as Longaberger Co. and Tupperware. Such sales have topped a record $29 billion, according to the Direct Selling Association.
