USANA Health Sciences Rises on Forecast

NEW YORK - Shares of USANA Health Sciences Inc. rose on Wednesday, after the nutritional and personal care products company forecast a strong third-quarter outlook on the heels of a 9 percent higher second-quarter profit.

USANA said Wednesday that second-quarter earnings were fueled by higher sales in nearly every geographic region. The strong performance lead to a forecast for third-quarter profit above Wall Street expectations.

The stock rose $5.53, or 13.4 percent, to $46.91 on Wednesday, reversing Tuesday's decline related to news that the company's independent accountant, Grant Thornton LLP, resigned as auditor.
