Mannatech Athlete Names in SI Top 25 Tough List

Team Mannatech athlete Hayley Wickenheiser has been ranked by Sports Illustrated as the 20th-toughest athlete in the world.

Wickenheiser is one of only two women named to the Top 25 list, which was published on the Sports Illustrated Web site April 1. She keeps good company on the list of "never-say-die" candidates, which ranks golf great Tiger Woods as the toughest athlete and NBA standout Kobe Bryant as 13th. Twenty-nine-year-old Wickenheiser is captain of the Canadian women's hockey team, which captured the silver medal during the 2008 IIHF World Women's Championship in Harbin, China, on April 12.

"Mannatech and Team Mannatech are extremely proud to have Hayley on our team," said former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Butch Johnson, Mannatech's senior director of community affairs and sports marketing. "Hayley is a fierce competitor who has been a four-time world champion, a two-time Olympic gold medalist (Salt Lake City 2002, Turin 2006), a silver Olympic medalist (Nagano 1998) and has been named one of the '100 Most Influential People in Hockey' by The Hockey News."
